Bollocks. Dicksy was twice as hard as Repka was but he was also a fucking cracking player who won some games on his own for us.
Whereas Repka was a fucking donkey who tried to make up for it by hurting opposition players and all he ever succeeded in doing was getting sent off and losing us points, and helping us get relegated.
Yes he was better at RB mainly because he was a less obvious liability.

My abiding memory of Repka is him once being so late on a tackle that he missed the opposition player but completely cleaned out the West Ham player (Noble?) who had been tracking him.

I loved a bit of super Tom. So did the whole of Upton Park singing his name so the bandwagoners can fuck off. Yeah he wasn't the greatest but we've had tons of players like that. I do like someone who kicks them up in the air. We've lacked that for years now

He was a right back who played on the right side of a back 3 at Fiorentina - who we signed him from.
He was never in a million years a proper centre-back - certainly not one capable of playing as a pair in a back 4 which was proven time and again. Towards the end with us he reverted to right back and was a bit better - he seemed to keep shouting at Anton Ferdinand telling him where to position himself which was ironic coming from him...

I really liked the bloke. A nutter but was our nutter. Thought he was a better footballer than got credit for but a bit at sea when not at right back. In part because he was dragged out of position to cover other poor players but also because he wasn't great.
Discipline not a speciality. If we had a poll of ex-players likely to end up in jail he would have topped it.
